Dr. Mary Bond is a general internist who has been practicing medicine in Georgia for 17 years. She has always enjoyed teaching her patients about their illness and therapies and felt it was a natural extension to expand that teaching to the next generation of physicians.

More About Mary Bond

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Mary Bond attended Duke University where she obtained her BA in History in 1990.  She received her degree in Medicine with Distinction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 and her residency training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA in 1997.  She moved to Georgia in 1997 with her husband Dr. Toby Bond where she has practiced general internal medicine in Peachtree City, GA followed by Emory University Student Health, before moving to Athens in 2003.  Dr. Bond has taught at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership since its inception in 2010.  She currently serves as Assistant Professor and the Site Clerkship Director in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Bond enjoys spending time with her family and keeping up with her two sons.  Her other interests include photography, music, and guitar.
