Any gap years? If so, what did you do?
Yes! I took one gap year and spent the majority of that time continuing to work in the ER as a scribe and a patient care tech. I am so glad I stuck with this job even after getting into medical school. It was an incredibly valuable experience and I recommend it to EVERY premed!!

I did take some time off and did an epic solo road trip out west for a month seeing 5 national parks!

Hi everyone! I was born and raised in Sandy Springs, Georgia and I chose to go into medicine as it is the best mix of science and service to the world! I came into college as a business major and I changed my decision most literally overnight after I was present when my grandfather had a stroke. I have not looked back since! My hobbies include video games, space/aviation, camping, hiking, and off-roading. I have a wide variety of music taste ranging from Metallica to Tom Petty.
