Class of 2029 joins the Medical Partnership

The Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership recently welcomed 62 new Medical College of Georgia students to the Athens campus.

The Class of 2029 comprises 38 females and 24 males, ranging in age from 19 to 43. Forty-eight students from the class hail from Metro Atlanta, and seven are from North Georgia. The MCAT average for the class is 512, and the average GPA is 3.84.

UGA is the most represented college, with 27 students holding an undergraduate degree from the university. Georgia Tech (7) and Emory University (5) are the other most represented in-state institutions. Twelve members of the class received their undergraduate education out of state.

While keeping up with studies and excelling in the classroom are important, they also know that a school-life balance is key. The Class of 2029’s hobbies are just as unique as their backgrounds: they enjoy hiking, baking, playing sports, traveling, reading, and working out.

The Class of 2029 had their first day of classes on August 4, and we at the Medical Partnership ardently anticipate what they will accomplish during their first year at the Athens campus.
