Dr. Charles Wiener to speak at the Medical Partnership

Dr. Charles Wiener will be speaking in George Hall on Thursday, February 19 at 5:00 pm on “The History of Truth: Paradigm Change in Medicine.”  His presentation will provide a brief tour of medical history in the context that healthcare is now entering a new paradigm of individuality.

Dr. Wiener is a Professor of Medicine in the Physiology and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine departments at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a medical degree from the University of Miami.  He completed his residency at the University of Washington in Seattle and fellowships at the Royal Post-Graduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital in London and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine before joining the faculty in 1991.

Refreshments will be served at 4:30 pm.

Attendees can receive 1.0 hours of CME credit.  Athens Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians.  Athens Regional Medical Center designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1 hour AMA PHA Category 1 Credit.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  ACCME Policy
