Year in Med School
Where did you complete your undergraduate education?
The University of Georgia
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I love to learn from new experiences and dabble in various hobbies. I continuously come back to photography whether via disposable cameras or digital edits. I like to go on hikes, which allows me to take landscape photos and hangout with friends. If I had more time, then I’d love to pickup a language or cook complex meals.
Why did you choose MCG and the Medical Partnership campus?
I appreciate the proximity to my family, who’ve supported me throughout my lows and highs. I love how the curriculum smoothly integrates all areas of medicine into each of the organ systems. Additionally, I’m a loyal Dawg and biased to the Classic City. I was excited to indulge in my foodie tendencies!
What is your advice for someone who is interested in medical school?
Explore various sides of medicine! Shadow various specialties. Scribe in the emergency department. Talk with various medical students. Work in a lab. All of these experiences and others really laid the groundwork for me to succeed once I started medical school.
What is a typical day for you?
During, COVID-19, I wake up, go to lecture, squeeze in a meal between sessions, study in the afternoon, workout, and catch up on my go-to show on Netflix or Hulu. If I’m on a study break, then I love a good meme to make me chuckle.
What motivated you to want to be a physician?
I don’t know of one individual or time, but my previous experiences in medicine constantly reassure me on where I want to dedicate my life. I know as a physician I’d live to work instead of work to live.

If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be?
