The Medical Partnership’s Office of Educational Enrichment run the Academic Success Programs that aim to help all Medical Partnership students succeed on their journey to become physicians.
These programs include group sessions to introduce students to successful learning strategies and tactics, preparation and dissemination of an eBook and other materials to guide students’ learning, as well as individualized academic counseling sessions.
A devotion to lifelong learning is an essential attribute for physicians in order to practice competent care across their careers. Upon entering medical school, most students need to adjust to the academic challenges, 12 of which are summarized here. While in medical school, students need to learn a large volume of knowledge, and they are also expected to build the skills and habits needed to learn across their whole careers, as outlined here.
Students at any stage of their career here at the Medical Partnership are encouraged to access the Academic Success Programs regularly, but especially if they find themselves underperforming compared with expectations or struggling academically.
Medical Partnership students can access this program by contacting the Academic Success Programs team. In addition, the Academic Success Program team monitors the academic achievement of Medical Partnership students and may reach out to students when appropriate.
