The Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU), located on the UGA Health Sciences Campus, opened in late 2015 with the goal of supporting investigators who wish to conduct sponsored or pilot clinical and translational studies that advance the understanding, prevention and treatment of human diseases.
For students and health sciences trainees, the unit provides opportunities to gain experience in clinical research and learn how laboratory discoveries are translated into improved patient outcomes. We welcome investigators to visit our Researcher Resources section for more information on services and resources the CTRU can provide to make your study a success. Contact us to set up a tour of the facility or to get more information about services. All members of the UGA or Athens area community are invited to volunteer in our studies; visit our Volunteer for Research section for more information. The CTRU is an initiative of the AU/UGA Medical Partnership and the UGA Office of Research. Click here to learn more.
