Bio: tell us about yourself
My name is Trey Lee Orndorff, and I am a first-year student at the Medical Partnership. I am originally from Grapevine, Texas, but being the son of a military pilot who was deployed following 9/11, I constantly found myself calling new places home. I have a sweet goldendoodle named Charlie and an amazing younger sister who is currently a sophomore at the University of Alabama. My family and I finally settled in Fayetteville, Georgia when I was in the fourth grade, and we have lived there ever since. After graduating from Starr’s Mill High School, I attended the University of Alabama where I studied biology on the pre-medical professional track with a minor in music focused on vocal performance. Music has always been an integral aspect of my life. Some of my earliest memories are of my days singing in church children’s choir at the age of three. Since then, I have been blessed to participate in many Georgia All-State and Honor Choirs, the Governor’s Honors Program, the University of Alabama University Singers, and many church choirs and worship bands. When I am not studying, I love spending time with friends, traveling, hiking, biking, working out at the gym, playing piano, singing, writing, worshipping the Lord, and watching movies and television. I graduated from UA this past May, and since starting medical school, I have enjoyed every minute of my experience at the Medical Partnership! Growing up surrounded by family members who suffer from chronic health conditions, I constantly found myself drawn to the practice of medicine and the life-giving hope that it can give to those who are forced to face the harsh realities of their health. I am so thankful to be a part of the Medical Partnership and am very excited to serve this year as a student ambassador!
