AU/UGA Medical Partnership Community Celebration and Recognition: General Information
Ceremony
Important Note for Graduates and guests: Medical Partnership graduates should assemble in Royar Square at 9:00 a.m. for the official class photo at 9:15 a.m. The Processional will begin at 9:45 a.m., and the ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
The AU/UGA Medical Partnership Community Celebration and Recognition is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2015, outdoors on the UGA Health Sciences Campus’ marching grounds. In the event of inclement weather, a change of venue announcement will be made at 8:30 a.m. in front of Miller Hall.
The ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. and will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Programs will be placed in the seats for each of the students, and guests will receive copies while supplies last.
There is no limit to the number of guests. Tickets are not required. Please note: seats cannot be reserved for the Community Celebration and Recognition.
Immediately following the ceremony, Medical Partnership graduates and their guests are invited to have light refreshments in Russell Hall on the second floor. An elevator is available for public use.
Parking
Parking is available in all UGA Health Sciences campus lots. Please do not park on sidewalks, landscaped areas, or on streets so as to block lanes of traffic. Improperly parked vehicles may be towed. It is suggested that disabled and elderly guests arrive early to ensure nearby parking.
Rain Location
In the event of inclement weather, a change of venue announcement will be made at 8:30 a.m. in front of Miller Hall on the UGA Health Sciences Campus, as well as posted on the Medical Partnership website (medicalpartnership.usg.edu) and the Medical Partnership Facebook page (www.facebook.com/auugamedicalpartnership).
Returning Regalia
After the event concludes and all photos have been taken, students and faculty should return their gown, hood, and tam to Russell Hall Room 151.
