Winnie Soufi, MD, PhD

Dr. Soufi received her MD and PhD from the University of Illinois and proceeded to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Duke University in 1996. Since graduating, she has practiced at Women’s Health Associates and delivered babies at Northside Hospital. She has served as president of Unified Women’s Care of Georgia Management Board from 2012 – 2018 and as medical director of Unified Women’s Care of Georgia from October 2018 to September 2022. She serves on the board for the Georgia OB/GYN Society and has served as part of their legislative committee since 2010. Since February 2023, Dr. Soufi has served as co-chair of the committee. In addition, she has served on the Organized Medical Staff Section for the Medical Association of Georgia since 2020.

 

Dr. Soufi is currently a clinical associate professor at the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia. She enjoys mentoring medical students and was awarded the Faculty Member of the Year 2019 in OB/GYN for the AU/UGA Medical Partnership campus. Soufi is also the AU/UGA Medical Partnership Community Faculty Preceptor of AY 2022-2023.
