Whether a brief ad-hoc explainer video or a long-form recording, the skillset to create an effective screencast are similar. This workshop is concerned with introducing those fundamentals.

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:

• Identify key elements of effective screencasts including audio, visuals, and pacing
• Identify multiple software options for creating screencasts
• Demonstrate basic technical skills for creating screencasts
• Apply basic editing techniques
