An interactive workshop to provide practical first, in the moment, strategies to support students and others after a severe stress situation.

Educational Objectives

 

At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:

 

  • Be able to define PFA and apply the concepts to teaching and supporting medical students.
  • Recognize the range of typical reactions following a severe stress situation.
  • Practice PFA to build confidence and competence for later application.
  • Managing your own stress while practicing PFA.
  • Refer or recommend available resources to Medical Partnership students who are experiencing distress.
