Any gap years? If so, what did you do?
I spent one gap year as an AmeriCorps ArtistYear member, integrating arts and science into curriculum at a Title 1 elementary school in rural North Carolina. In other words, I had the privilege of teaching kids to be curious about the world and to imagine how they can make an impact on society.

Bio: tell us about yourself
Hi! My name is Christina, and I’m an M2 at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership. Though people have found my Art History background to be disparate from my interest in medicine, I always thought they intertwined through my curiosity to understand how we, as humans, try to find meaning in our lives. I still find myself drawn towards medical humanities, community-based interventions, trauma-informed care and narrative medicine.
Outside of school, you can find me trying new restaurants near Athens or expanding my herb/vegetable garden. I also spend way too much time (and money) on sampling the cheese aisle at Trader Joes and perusing through local bookstores.
