Any gap years? If so, what did you do?
I spent my first gap year as a medical assistant with Athens Retina Center and a night clinic manager at Mercy Health Center. I also spent a lot of time studying for the MCAT. Then, I moved to Atlanta and worked as a patient care coordinator for the Emory Proton Therapy Center, where I got to make lots of new friends, try great restaurants, go on lots of runs, and picnic in lots of parks (especially during COVID).

Specialties of interest
Seemingly all of them: Internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, family medicine, radiation oncology

Bio: tell us about yourself
I am from Athens, and I love to tell everyone about it! I feel incredibly honored and excited to learn medicine and serve in the community that made me want to practice in the first place. When I’m not studying, I love to be outside and with people. This includes running, walking, hiking, biking, kayaking the Broad river, eating sushi on UGA’s North Campus with my family, and sitting on my porch reading a good book. I’m currently reading Pride and Prejudice (trying for the second time and still struggling) and The Body Keeps the Score (by Bessel Van Der Kolk, which uses a psychiatry/neuro lens to talk about trauma and healing).
