Bio: tell us about yourself
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia to a very loving and blended Cuban family, with me being the first born in the states. I attended the University of Georgia and decided to stay in Athens for medical school so I could watch the Dawgs win the National Championship. Given my background and path to medicine, I am very passionate about mentorship and expanding opportunities in medicine to more of the population. That being said, I am very involved with our pipeline programs and have worked to establish a branch of the Atlanta-based mentorship program, The Young Physician’s Initiative (YPI) at the Medical Partnership. My hobbies include exercising, mindfulness, losing at Fantasy Football, reading, watching movies, and travel.
