Dr. Don Scott is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and serves as the Director of Education in Geriatric Medicine at the UGA School of Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of the Cognitive Aging, Research and Education Center in the College of Public Health. He received his MD degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Rochester, where he also served as a chief medical resident. He completed his geriatric medicine fellowship and a Master of Health Science in Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Bloomberg College of Public Health. His academic career has been devoted to medical education in internal medicine and geriatrics. Dr. Scott is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and has practiced geriatric medicine and been a medical educator for over 25 years. He lives in Athens, is married with two step-children, enjoys the outdoors, his dogs, and playing and recording music.
