I graduated a semester early and spent my semester off of school working as a OB/GYN medical scribe. I also spent the time relaxing, catching up on books I wanted to read, and traveling with my family.

Bio: tell us about yourself
I enjoy promoting women’s health and advocating for the access to healthcare for all people. In my free time, I enjoy reading suspense/thriller and romance novels. I also like to participate in group fitness classes such as cycling and barre. One day, I hope to become a certified group fitness infrastructure and continue to promote mental and physical wellness while being a medical professional. I am interested in Obstetrics/Gynecology, specifically Maternal Fetal Medicine, because my mother is a High Risk Perinatal nurse. We often discussed how mothers of color are more likely to pass away during childbirth. I wanted to go into medicine to increase the quality of care for all women and increase their chances of being able to live long and healthy lives with their families. I am also interested in Gastroenterology because I love how it integrates more preventative care aspects including nutrition and with medicinal treatments.
